Roka sits on the first level of The Opus by Omniyat in Business Bay. The restaurant is a twenty-minute walk from the Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, and Souk Al Bahar. It serves modern Japanese cuisine with a focus on sushi.

The room runs smart and elegant, but the real draw is the proximity to the city’s major monuments without the usual congestion. While most restaurants in this quadrant of the city rely on flash to pull in the crowds, Roka offers a more restrained version of modern Japanese dining. It manages to feel like a neighborhood local for those working in the surrounding office towers, a feat that is surprisingly rare in a district otherwise dominated by vast, showy tourist destinations.
