Bear Napa Valley

Bear sits at 200 Stanly Crossroad, within the Stanly Ranch estate in Napa. It is a ten-minute drive from the Napa Valley Wine Train and sits well clear of the crowds at Oxbow Public Market. The restaurant holds a 2024 Wine Spectator Excellence Award.

The kitchen focuses on creative, farm-to-table vegan cooking, a distinct departure from the heavy, meat-focused menus that define much of the valley. While the room runs smart and elegant, the real draw is the lack of pretense; it avoids the stuffy formality common to other fine dining rooms in the area. The menu takes its cues from the surrounding land, relying on local produce rather than imports. It is a better choice than the restaurants clustered near the train station if you prefer a quiet, ingredient-focused meal over the predictable tourist circuit.
