Most dining rooms in the city rely on the bustle of the street level to create energy, but Canoe succeeds by removing you from it entirely. It is a quieter, more detached way to eat than the crowded bistro scene at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, and it feels fundamentally different from the tourist-heavy hum surrounding the nearby CN Tower.
