One of the best bars in Austin. Incredibly friendly staff who wants everyone to have a great time. The mixologists on the team are some of the nicest people ever who are passionate about their drinks, super sociable, and friendly. The drinks might look expensive, but they prepare each cocktail to your tastes with amazing preparation. We asked the bartenders for bar recommendations and they gave us a full list of bars to crawl. The cocktails are some of the best we had in the city. Mike, the manager, specifically came over to chat with us an offered us cigars (we were already smoking at the time) - on the house. He came back to give us tequila shots and had em with us. The vibe is incredible, with busy Friday nights, live DJ, and friendly clients. Can't say enough good things about the Tipsy Alchemist. A must stop on Rainey Street!

It’s a nice spot to escape the crowds of Rainey St and enjoy a cocktail in a relaxing atmosphere. The bar inside is well designed and there are plenty of different type of seating outdoors. The cocktails are on the pricy side and they do include a mandatory 20% gratuity fee. They do highlight it when they deliver the check, so I feel like they are being honest about it. I personally had a great experience, excellent bartenders even at the start of a busy Saturday evening. 😎 Let them make a drink for you, and you'll surely be pleased. The Mezcal version of a penicillin was 🔥 (and a bit spicy in a drinkable way!)
