Nobu sits on a private pier extending into the Arabian Gulf on Diplomatic Street. It is a ten-minute drive from the Katara Cultural Village, placing it between the high-rises of West Bay and the residential expanse of The Pearl-Qatar.
The restaurant serves Japanese fusion and sushi, though the building itself is the primary reason to visit. Unlike the glass-fronted dining rooms that define the nearby Doha Corniche, the circular, three-story structure allows for a layout that feels less like a hotel outlet and more like a standalone building. It is dressier than the surrounding waterfront lounges, but the room remains focused on the water rather than the social posturing common to the district. You come here for the architecture and the deliberate isolation from the city’s dense, land-locked traffic.
