Yes, this is an expensive restaurant, but for a special occasion, it's definitely worth it and is consistent with its Michelin star. We had a 5-course tasting menu, with wine paring, for an anniversary dinner, and we spent a leisurely 3.5 hours enjoying everything. As expected, the food was outstanding and innovative. But, the staff was equally outstanding. When they found out it was our anniversary, they took our picture and pasted it into a card with a handwritten personal message! But it did not stop there. My wife did not realize she had dropped her anniversary card, and after we left, the staff called and emailed us, saying they had found it! They even volunteered to try to deliver it to our hotel if we were unable to come back to the restaurant. In all, it was an extraordinary dining experience!

My wife and I had a truly wonderful experience and they truly deserve the Michelin star. The place is very well organize and clean. The staff was very attentive and explained very well the food and wine. The food was exquisite and well seasoned. the wine selection was done perfectly. Truly value for your money

In one word: Amazing! Had the a la carte menu, with a few different Hungarian an Portuguese wines. The food was well prepared, well balanced and beautifully executed. Everything was A+! We had a young waitress at our table, that gave us perfect recommendations on wine, and she had a really wonderful way of approaching us. Sweet, friendly and professional. She made the experience even better. We did not get her name, but she had a silver watch on and dark hair, so we/I hope this credit reaches her! Thank you Essência - wonderful experience!
