Holt Taipei

I am one of Holt’s returning customers. It’s not easy to find a decent place for French cuisine in Taipei but Holt gives you an exclusive dining experience. Besides the dinner menus in Spring 2023 and Fall 2023, I really miss the fish burger and beef burger served by Holt during the Covid period.

Service and overall ambiance was great. Upon being seated, we were promptly provided with both still and sparkling water however we did experience a prolonged period without any staff greeting or explanation of the proceedings. While we understand the need to wait for a few tables to start together, a simple initial greeting and the offer of a drinks menu during this time would have been appreciated. Moreover, the waiting time between courses throughout the dinner was noticeably lengthy. On a positive note, the flavours of the dishes were great. The taste profiles were expertly crafted, and the desserts stood out in particular. Well balanced sweetness and clever use of mangoes and pineapple. The desserts undeniably stole the spotlight and exceeded expectations.

My friend recommended this place, so I decided to give it a shot. I've gotta say, it's a five-star experience for me! The fish dishes were the main event, and they were seriously delicious and something to be proud of. Oh, and the aged lamb loin? Best lamb dish I've had recently – they nailed it!
