Chef’s Table sits on the 61st floor of the State Tower on Si Lom Road. It is a ten-minute walk from the King Power Mahanakhon, placing it well above the street-level rush. The restaurant holds two Michelin stars.
While many of Bangkok’s high-altitude dining rooms lean on their vistas to distract from the cooking, this floor uses its elevation as a framing device for Thai-fusion seafood. The room runs smart and elegant, but it avoids the hushed rigidity common to other two-star venues in the city. It is a more deliberate experience than the bustling spots near the base of the tower, yet the menu justifies the climb. If you prefer your dinner to feel like an event, this is the destination.
