An exquisite yet relaxed dining experience. The quality and execution of the dishes are extremely high. Much of that has to do with chef Puck's frequent presence, and we were lucky enough to meet him as he made his way to each and every table that evening. The duck and fish were expertly cooked, the sauces were incredible, the pasta was perfectly al dente. Desserts like the unique creme brulee served with a bit of citrus sorbet were such a wonderful surprise. Service was perfect. It truly is an icon of Los Angeles.

I recommend the sashimi as a starter, pork chop & halibut for mains. The octopus and Agnolotti are great for starters, however be aware they’re a bit sweet (pumpkin?); Brussel-sprouts win for sides. Sacher or cheesecake for dessert! We had 8 glasses of wines (4 each), one better than the next. Ask Eric (sommelier) for recommendations when you get there. Price: $500 w tip (the wine adds up) Will visit again. Worth it for the food and experience. Context: Brought the wife here for her birthday - EXCELLENT choice. Old Hollywood luxury is still alive: as soon as we walked in and gave our name, we were greeted w a warm and sincere “happy birthday” by hostess. This continued with every person from busboy to chef throughout the night. We did a wine pairing with our meal - Eric paired us with 4 delicious wines aligned to our tastes and each of the dishes ordered. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and answers all your wine questions with patience and empathy even as the place got busy (we had a lot of questions and banter - drinking does that to some) We received a dessert on the house as a birthday gift. Wolfgang was there, as well as a few pro athletes. Apologies for the photos, i’m more of an eater. You get the idea…Good times! PS: the bar makes some mean cocktails, try it. I’ll review it another time.

We had the 8-course meal (we counted 10 courses, including the dessert). It was a fun, very tasty, amazing culinary experience! The chef was very accommodating with our special request and our waiter Eric and Conrad and the rest of the staff were very attentive, informative and positive. It was a memorable birthday celebration for me!
