Zannier Hotels Phum Baitang sits on Neelka Way, a short drive from the Angkor National Museum. The property is a fifteen-minute tuk-tuk ride from the temples of Angkor Wat and slightly further from the noise of Pub Street.

This is the only place in Siem Reap that manages to isolate you from the humidity and the tourist crush of the city centre. While its neighbours attempt to pack as much Khmer-inspired art as possible into urban-style hotel rooms, Phum Baitang retreats into a landscape of stilted wooden villas and rice paddies. It is a calculated removal from the frantic pace of the markets, making it the better choice if your goal is silence rather than proximity to the night-time crowds. The property feels less like a hotel and more like a private village, which explains why guests rarely feel the urge to head back into town until they absolutely have to.
